This piece was painted in April of 2020 when the Covid Pandemic was at its worse in Manhattan. My beloved city, which I treasure for its typical flurry of activity and inspiration to me and my artwork was in a total transformation. The streets now looked like a ghost town and I wanted to paint my memories of happier times with half painted figures in the streets in hopes and prayers that things would be back to normal.

This piece was painted in April of 2020 when the Covid Pandemic was rampaging Italy. I had just returned from a wonderful trip to Tuscany and Cinque Terre in November of 2019 and was so saddened to read the news. I wanted to paint happy memories of my trip with hopes of a return to normal life for all of us.

This piece was painted plein air standing by a blissfully quiet stream on top of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains near Santa Fe, NM.
In 2020, I uprooted my life and moved across the country to Santa Fe.
The beauty and solitude were soothing and much needed.
