The white limestone of Parisian architecture is stunning. When the late light hit it during my 2019 visit, I ran up and down the bridges and streets to take in as much of it as I could. I was greatly moved by it.

When I saw this Florida house broken up by a variety of shadows and light shapes, I was instantly drawn to it from more of a Cubist intention. It was one of the most exciting pieces I’ve ever developed.

This was painted on location in Jupiter, Florida one morning. It was one of the more emotional paintings I’ve done because time was short, and very little light was present. I was hoping that the sounds of the crashing waves and the pleasant breeze would be conveyed by the subtle colors and shapes.
