We're back from Frankfurt and can't wait to share with you an overview of the most exciting new product that will be making its way to North America! We’ve carefully selected items to spotlight that had the most buzz at the show- but these aren’t all that are coming your way! Stay tuned for more information on all new product coming soon.
Paper
When we asked our retailers what new product in our booth was the most exiting to them- most answered with our new Toned Paper! This beautiful new Rembrandt paper is is of very high quality. It is 15% cotton, 20% recycled paper, 180gsm/120lbs and is suitable for: pencil, pastel, gouache, ink, acrylic, and charcoal. The inspiring artwork on the covers encourages you to pick up a pad of your own and complete the unfinished work. It also subtly hints at the types of media you might use on it. It is available in five trend colors that were picked from careful market research: Desert Brown, Sanguine Red, Verona Green, Mythical Blue, and Industrial Grey.
Other noteworthy paper items were the new Pantone trend colors in our popular Talens Art Creation Sketchbooks as well as a postcard sized pad of our new Van Gogh black watercolor paper.
Amsterdam New 20ml Sets and 2.5 Liter Bucket
Amsterdam introduces many new 20ml sets to add to the product range and further complete your store concept. These sets will make excellent gift items- as well as fun sets for artists to grab to try out particular color palettes. This extension also includes the reworking of existing packaging in the larger sets.
One of the most notable acheivements of this new product developement is the sustainability initiative on these sets:
Updated interior using only 100% Recycled PET which can also be fully recycled again.
All PET interiors are sourced locally (30km from Apeldoorn) instead of China.
Plastic use will be reduced to a minimum in the assembly of the sets.
All cardboard set packages can be recycled and are 100% cardboard.
All cardboard packaging will be sourced within Europe to reduce the carbon footprint.
The 2.5 liter tub (for heavy users) of Titanium White is another item that got our customers excited (and artist who toured the booth). For perspective- There are almost 21 tubes of the standard 120ml tube in one bucket!
Bruynzeel Dual Point Fineliners
Bruynzeel is now introducing under the expression range new dual point waterbased fineliners that have a brush tip for thick to thin lines and a 0.4 mm durable fiber nib for details.
Not only was the increased functionality a draw, but the beautiful new packaging was a huge factor in the popularity of this new item. The most popular sets were the 6 piece sets that had city inspired color themes. This new fineliners are perfect for urban sketching, hand lettering, drawing and brush lettering.
Ecoline 10pc Sets
We’ve taken our best selling SKU (not just for Ecoline- but over all of our brands) and created more on-trend variations! The sets with the most buzz at the show were the Pastel, Skin Tones and Greys sets- not to mention the all the other great themes coming out - Brilliant, Dark, Fashion, Handlettering, Architect, Illustrator, and Botanical!
