Anna DiSabito

Q: Anna, you’re one of the newest members of the Royal Talens team. Can you explain some of the things you do in your role as Marketing Project Manager?

Sure! Well firstly, I’m very happy to have joined such a great team at Royal Talens North America! We’re a small but mighty crew! Right now my job is heavily focused on merchandising as we’re putting out a lot of new and revamped displays. Also, along the lines of consumer marketing I am doing store trainings (which has been amazingly fun), working on expanding our presence on social media (psst! follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook @royaltalensNA), and creating adverts for magazines and online to get out the message about our great brands! We’re starting to design our booth for NAMTA which I’m excited to get cracking at and I’m looking forward to what big and exciting things we can come up with next!

Q: What is your favorite part of working at Royal Talens?

I have two favorite parts- the first is meeting and getting to know awesome artists around the country! The second is being able to play with all of our products in the sample room. Okay- maybe three favorite parts… I also really like learning about our products and understanding what they’re made of and how they work with other materials.

Q: You’re an artist – Tell us a bit about what you like to create.

I like to make colorful messes. I’m obsessed with color and working fast to get out a particular mood. I really like to work on bigger surfaces and plywood especially. The mediums I use most are acrylics, oil pastels, and… nail polish!

Q: If you had to select one medium to stay with as an artist, what would it be?

At this point in time, I would have to say that I would choose acrylics. I find that they are very agreeable with my style and degree of patience!

Q: You are an entrepreneur as well, having co-founded a start-up called PixelFunder, can you tell us a little about that?

Yes! PixelFunder is a crowdfunding solution for indie game developers. I started the company with my boyfriend a little over a year ago. We are both big gamers and the indie gaming scene is full of awesome people and lots of bright ideas- we found that the developers needed help with marketing and avenues of funding so that they could focus on creating their games- which is what PixelFunder is all about- a non-equity based crowdfunding solution with bespoke marketing services.
